As a therapist working with women who have experienced domestic violence I do my best to provide crucial support and guidance in their journey toward safety and recovery. Creating a secure and nonjudgmental space, it’s my responsibility as a therapist to build a trusting relationship where clients feel heard and understood. Through compassionate listening and validation, I help women process the emotional, psychological, and often physical scars left by abuse. Therapeutic approaches may include trauma-informed therapy, which emphasizes empowerment and resilience, along with cognitive-behavioral strategies to reframe negative thought patterns and build self-esteem. I also assist clients in recognizing and assessing the dynamics of abuse, fostering awareness of their rights and autonomy. Practical support is also offered, such as safety planning and connection to community resources for legal and financial assistance. By nurturing a sense of empowerment and self-worth, I assist with helping clients rebuild their lives, instilling hope and encouragement as they find their own path to independence and security.

Deconstructing narcissistic abuse and its lasting effects can be complex, but it is deeply rewarding to support clients who have experienced the cruelty of narcissistic abuse through healing and recovery. I provide essential guidance in addressing the emotional and psychological impacts of these relationships by creating a safe, empathetic space where clients feel heard and validated—often for the first time. Therapy involves unpacking and exposing manipulative tactics like gaslighting and love-bombing, which intentionally  fuels confusion and self-doubt. Using approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy, I help clients challenge distorted beliefs, rebuild self-esteem, and set healthy boundaries. This process fosters resilience, independence, and self-care, enabling clients to rediscover their identity and pursue healthier relationships.

I also empower clients with coping strategies for triggers and promote resilience through self-compassion and inner strength. As a clinician, I believe that a therapist plays a vital role in supporting clients through substance abuse and alcoholism recovery, offering both emotional support and practical tools. I create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can share their struggles, relapses, and successes openly, which strengthens the therapeutic alliance and fosters motivation. A key part of the process involves identifying underlying issues such as trauma or co-occurring mental health disorders. Using approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, I help clients challenge harmful thought patterns, manage cravings, and avoid triggers. I also educate clients on addiction as a disease to reduce shame and guilt, and guide them in creating personalized relapse prevention strategies. Ultimately, my goal is to promote resilience, restore self-worth, and help clients envision a fulfilling, substance-free life.
